If you like playing with a knife this is not the knife for you. This is definitely a hard working tool that feels really good in your hand. When deployed it feels more like a fixed blade. Unlike some knives this one's razor sharp right out of the box. If you wear a suit and tie, this is not an EDC, However, if you wear a Tee shirt and cargo shorts this is definitely an EDC.

This one's not an EDC unless you are wearing cargo pants or shorts. So, for me it could be an EDC. The edge is really sharp right out of the box and doesn't need touching up like many knives do. Everything is solid and feels almost like a fixed blade. This is my first full sized Recon but not my first Recon. I have a 3 inch Recon 1 which really is a perfect EDC. Whichever Recon you decide on, you can't go wrong.
