The engineers at Hogue Knives strive to create solutions by design and to overcome obstacles that challenge their customers in the midst of specialized pursuits. With the variable needs of the hunter at the forefront of this project, Jim and Scott Bruhns created an ultra-lightweight fixed blade knife to conquer the aspects of field dressing that require longer, deeper cuts. The Extrak is comprised of CPM-MagnaCut stainless steel which allows more time to be spent under the knife and less time sharpening. It weighs 1.9 ounces and also features removable G10 scales with Peel Ply texture. This enables proper gription and gives the user the option to reduce the overall pack weight further. Both the Extrak and the Expel are included with nylon blade guards for added protection when stowed.
The Extrak fixed blade has been rigorously tested and proven by professional hunters, outfitters, and taxidermists. Every Hogue knife is proudly made in the USA and backed by three generations of manufacturing expertise.
