Description
RCCR25BO: ESEE-CR2.5-BO Camp-Lore Cody Rowen CR2.5
ESEE Knives

The Camp-Lore series was developed to answer the demand for traditional, basic, bushcraft knives. The designers of this knife series come from unique backgrounds and experiences, with each considered to be one of the best in their field. All of the Camp-Lore knives are simple, traditional, fixed blade designs that have been field-proven for years. ESEE builds the Camp-Lore line in the USA utilizing 1095 carbon steel blades and removable Micarta handles. Each Camp-Lore knife comes with a USA made traditional pouch sheath using leather supplied by one of the oldest tanneries in North America.

The CR2.5 model designed by Cody Rowen is the knife for you if you prefer ultimate compactness in a knife. The 2.5" drop point blade is flat ground to give you a very nice slicing blade and it has a tumbled stonewash finish. The slender Micarta handle is svelte in size yet very comfortable and impervious to the elements. We see this knife being a superb bird and trout knife, perfectly designed for smaller game that needs a reliable cutting tool. It's recommended you strop the knife with a leather strop and compound as often as possible (daily if you can) to prolong the edge of the knife. Includes a leather sheath.

Leather Sheath
Leather Sheath
Leather is known for its durability and traditional appeal. When compared to Kydex it is preferred for its silence when bumped against other objects, as well as blade retention.
1095 Carbon Steel
1095 Carbon Steel
An excellent hard use steel, 1095 is a primary choice for camping and larger fixed blade knives for its extreme toughness and ability to hold an edge. Corrosion resistance is very limited with this steel (it will rust) and most blades come with a coating to prevent premature rusting.
Micarta Handles
Micarta Handles
Micarta is a compressed layered composite sealed within a thermosetting plastic which creates a strong, attractive material that is impervious to water.

ESEE's Most Under-rated Knife
I've been using the CR2.5 for around a half year at this point. And it is easily one of the most useful all around fixed blade knives I've ever owned. From doing detailed bushcraft tasks, to small kitchen tasks. A light wilderness backpacking knife, to a small edc fixed blade. I've brought this knife everywhere! It will easily handle over 90% of everything you'll need a knife to do. Paired with a larger blade or hatchet in the backcountry, it would be unbeatable. Awesome knife!
