Honoring An American Legend

About 14 years of continual field use has proven this knife a fine and formidable companion in the outdoors. Even young hunters are learning the many uses this knife has to offer, in camp as well as on the hunt, honoring the famous Cochise.

Tough Knife
I bought this knife for an over all field knife. I was surprised at how thick the handle was, but after using the knife, I wouldn't have it any other way. The scales give the holder a strong grip even if your hands are sweaty. The blade comes very sharp from the factory, an I haven't had to sharpen it since. This is not a chopping knife, so don't try to tackle a tree and get angry when you don't chew through it. On a smaller scale, it is good for making feather sticks. It can preform smaller tasks like cutting line, or carving, however its a thick blade so remember what the knife is made for. The drop point makes the knife good for cleaning and skinning game. I've used this knife to clean everything from deer to trout. The one thing I don't like about the over all product is the sheath. Personally I would have preferred a leather sheath to with style and story of the blade. Leather has never failed me before. Not to say the sheath has failed yet, but kydex always worries me. One other thing, I was surprised how well the blade coating held up. After more than a year of real world use, its still hasn't come up anywhere. Over all tops has made a very good product.
