White River Knives

Now available with MagnaCut!

The White River Small Game knife design allows for great maneuverability and gives the user a very versatile blade in a very compact package. It is ideal for easy dressing of small game, birds, and trout while some hunters will find it ideal on the larger game as well. It is extremely thin which makes it ergonomic in a number of different grips yet not too thin that you'll have trouble holding onto the knife. It comes with an index finger choil, lanyard hole, and Kydex sheath, and was designed by custom knife maker Owen Baker Jr. (BAKR-BILT Design).

This short, "game knife" works very well in my kitchen. It's a WIN.
My old kitchen knives are best described as pointy wedges. Yes, I can cut with them but it was an effort, and they could smash softer foods, so I decided to get new kitchen knives. This 2.625 inch, "Small Game Knife" from White River is not cheap, but it costs less than many top-rated, short knives from other, quality manufacturers of kitchen cutlery. It looked just right for my needs BUT it has the SUBSTANTIAL ADVANTAGE that it's blade is CPM MagnaCut steel. I'm not a chef so one long-blade knife and one short-blade knife are all I need, and this this knife fits my short-blade needs perfectly. It is controllable and comfortable in my hand, Additionally, I bought the 7.5 inch, "Liong Mah Chef's Knife" from White River to be my long knife. The only possible downside is that MagnaCut steel is not easy to sharpen but (for a non-chef like myself) I anticipate that I will never need to sharpen it, so I don't care about it's sharpenability. This knife also comes with a sheath, which is unimportant for my needs, but the sheath is quite solid.Having used this knife for a while I can now say that I am very glad I bought it. :-)
