Real Steel Knives
The G5 Metamorph is the flagship of RSK design and innovation in the G (Gentleman) Class. Knifemaker and designer Ostap Hel's unfailing ability to produce sublime design has been combined beautifully with RSK's constant drive for innovation. This knife represents RSK's metamorphosis into 2018 and is continued in 2023 with a new button lock version. This button lock Metamorph is fitted with a 14C28N blade with a satin finish like the original but is deployed with a thumb stud and not a flipper tab. This folding knife is fitted with bearings for a smooth and unhindered opening. The button lock operates perfectly and is fun to use and to maintain the Metamorph's feather-light feel, the handle and backspacer are entirely made of G10. The backspacer has also been designed and developed for complete safety when closed. Thanks to the smooth contorted lines of the Metamorph's profile, the top of the blade also has a milled-out 'digit stop' for maximum control and effectiveness when cutting smaller objects.

Comes out the box at what I feel like is at least 6k grit (likely higher), easy to open and close, great aesthetics, grips that feel premium with a pretty grippy texture. Blade itself (without regards to handles) manages to have a good thickness while looking thin from the spine.With this being an executive kind of knife, and aesthetics being important in the "genre", I'll highlight that the back spacer didn't come perfectly flush with the handles on my knife (having been in QC before, I'd estimate it to be sticking out about .005~.010" - just enough that you can feel it with your fingers) , but that feels charming more than anything else. Pocket clip doesn't use flush screws. Other than that, the knife feels complete.At 60 dollars, my only regret with my purchase is that I didn't buy 2.
